To our beloved community,
We sadly inform you that the long-time hub for our work at 14030 W 32nd Avenue, Golden, Colorado, is going up for sale in September.
This decision was made by the family of David Braden. The asking price has not been announced yet, but we will update once that information is available.
As a small, all-volunteer, grassroots nonprofit organization, no one among us has the means to make an offer on the property.
We are writing to inform the community in the hopes that somebody in our regenerative networks might be interested in purchasing this homestead. This 0.5 acre property, featuring a 1950s ranch house, a garage/workspace, chicken coop/run, and well water, has been stewarded in a holistic way for ~70 years. It has also been the central hub for LSI’s work since 2013. We would love to see this place preserved for its precious ecological and social benefits.
Thanks to the practices established and promoted by David Braden as Living Systems Institute founder, the place is filled with wildlife interaction, abundant with healthy soil, and hosts chickens and several gardens. It’s a bucolic modest homestead, ideal for someone who wants to live close to the land.
Our dearest hope is that this place could be acquired by someone who is aligned in spirit, principle, and practice with permaculture/regenerative homesteading. Furthermore, if amenable to the new owner, that Living Systems Institute might continue hosting seasonal workshops and potlucks at this site. Barring this outcome, we will mourn our loss of this special spot that has been the home for our work since David Braden founded LSI in 2013.

Any questions about the living systems stewardship happening on the site may be directed to its current land-steward/tenant, Caroline Savery (pictured in the video). Caroline will be traveling throughout early and mid September, but would be happy to speak by phone or arrange a personal tour (within limited availability) for community members who are seriously considering buying, and can offer a warm hand-off to any. You can reach Caroline by email at [email protected].
Any correspondence regarding the property sale, or to make an offer, please contact Andi Erpelding with REMAX Professionals at 303-564-9539.
